Toll free numbers are very common in the virtual world. Not every country offers them, but most do. When you are going to buy a toll-free number, make sure to ask how much you are going to pay per minute. There is always a per-minute charge: if the user is not paying for the call, someone has to.

Also, make sure to ask whether there is a surcharge for calls originating in payphones (in the US there usually is a per-call charge of about $0.75), and for call originating in mobile phones (in some European countries, toll-free means that the user does not even pay for air time).
